Develop and oversee the design, installation, system test, operation, and maintenance of Communications-Based Train Control (CBTC) and other railroad systems; ensure that our networks of rail transit systems meet requirements; engage in the redesign and engineering of the back-bone layer 2 network; develop and implement solutions to network problems; perform network analyses and calculations, including trade-off analyses; perform change and configuration system management and escalate quality issues to management; engage in technical discussions with clients and integrate vendor network components; support the Test and Commissioning Manager in writing test and commissioning specifications and performing test and commissioning activities; perform incident analysis and present root-cause and mitigation to the customer; and identify quality and safety issues within the scope of the project.
Must have a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, plus two years of experience in a systems engineer or computer network specialist role for CBTC railway systems. Must have two years of experience with DOORS, Test and Maintenance Strategy Documents (TMSF), Wireshark, Cisco Switches, Procom devices, SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor (NPM), SolarWinds Configuration Manager, SolarWinds Security Event Manager, Fortinet Firewalls, TCP Dumps, Perl, and IBM ClearCase. Regular travel to client sites required in various states in the United States. Site visits range from 1-3 months, depending on project.

Salary Offered: $99,195 to $135,000 per year.
